Evaluating amendments and deciding how to vote is one of the most important responsibilities of validator operators on the #XRPL. I wrote a post explaining why@Ripple validators are now voting for ExpandedSignerList and NonFungibleTokensV1_1.
He also added:
But amendments aren’t just a topic for validators. Amendments play a crucial role in the XRPL’s continued evolution and they are relevant to almost every ecosystem participant, from node operators, to developers, analytics firms to exchanges and more. They impact everyone.
Staying on top of amendments allows operators to update their software, ensuring service continuity (and, often, significant performance improvements). Sluggish uptake of new versions can cause validator operators to delay voting in favor of new amendments, to avoid disruptions.
Developers of libraries and other tooling also need to monitor the situation to ensure that they provide their users with support for new features as soon as they become available on the main network or a parallel test network, as the case may be.
