In an interview with CNBC, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said the company will consider acquiring other crypto projects. According to him, Ripple has a very strong balance sheet. Therefore, now, at this stage of growth, the company will be able to act no longer only as a seller, but also as a buyer.
Ripple has invested in more than 30 or 40 US companies as of now in the crypto industry. Various initiatives, in accordance with these investments, will be created primarily in the United States. However, Ripple is also considering opportunities for growth through acquisitions of non-US projects.
Brad Garlinghouse also noted that the number of mergers and acquisitions in the crypto industry will increase in the future. At the moment, there are no concrete signs of this, but he thinks that in the future this will be quite possible.
