According to the latest information from the Github release, Ripple is currently looking into adding an AMM feature to its network. Discussions are underway for the 0030 XLS-30d proposal that seeks to introduce Automated Market Maker (AMM) to the XRPL blockchain.
This is expected to be a huge potential for the network. Automated market makers (AMMs) enable crypto assets to be traded without permission and conventional order books.
Trading is carried out automatically using pools of available tokens, which are referred to as liquidity pools. Currently, XRPL (DeX) only provides liquidity through manual creation of the market and order books. XLS-30d proposal aims to introduce a non-custodial automated market maker (AMM) as a native feature of XRPL DeX. This should maximize profits for those who provide liquidity for AMM and reduce the risk of losses caused by volatility.
