On twitter, Xumm Wallet recently launched Xumm Profiles. Was noted:

Xumm Profiles are still in Beta and (obviously) opt-in. Xumm Pro users can: – claim a slug (‘username’) – upload a profile picture – select accounts to display on their profile Example: https://xumm.me/wietse
Users can find you (to send you XRP or other assets) with your claimed profile slug. It’s also a PayString, and the username for your profile page.
Only KYC’d users can claim a profile slug. You can trust you’re dealing with a real person when you find someone by their Xumm Profile slug / http://xumm.me PayString. To prevent imposters/scammers claiming slugs users can only claim a slug that matches their real name.
You can also only use a profile picture that matches your face (compared to your KYC document). If your profile name or picture closely resembles you, but can’t be automatically matched (e.g. nickname, illustration of you as avatar, etc.) you can easily request an exception.
Friendly reminder that all of this is of course fully optional: you do not have to enable the Xumm Profile features. You do not have to upload a profile picture. You do not have to publish your XRPL account. We will always respect your privacy.
In future releases, we will add (multi currency) payment requests & request push notifications to Xumm, and add features like secure Xumm back up & account recovery to Pro & Pro Profiles. For now, we start with a nice profile, slug & by increasing trust in the ecosystem.
