Developer Wietse Wind on Twitter commented on the launch of the beta version of Xumm Wallet Pro. He noted:
We started building @XummWallet in 2018, went in beta in 2019 and V1 launched at the end of 2020. Since, Xumm has been installed 680,000 times, and is actively being trusted and used by 350,000 users. Over 50,000 people use Xumm on a daily basis to interact with the XRP Ledger. We now entered a new phase. We will keep on building, adding new features, improving Xumm & dedicating our time & effort to grow the ecosystem. To do what we do best: build reliable software for the XRP Ledger to allow developers & users like you to interact. Easy & securely. With 350,000 active users, less than 4% of our user base subscribing to Xumm Pro would mean @XRPLLabs can continue building on nothing but support from you & other happy Xumm users. I believe this is possible. I believe many of our users will make this possible
He also added:
Don’t worry: Xumm will stay free to use for all. We will not remove features from the free version, and our in-app support will also stay available for everyone. But: some *new* features will be released Pro only.
